May is a beautiful month in Conroe and The Woodlands. Summer is fast approaching, and May can be one of the best months of the year to enjoy time outside and with the community. There are plenty of different things to do, everyone is sure to find something exciting and fun. Listed below are just a few examples of what you can do in the area during May. Whether you are visiting or already live here, the hardest part will be deciding just what to do.

If you want to discover the soul of Conroe, all you need to do is attend the Conroe Americana Music Festival, coming up May 5-7th. Featuring over 50 bands in downtown Conroe, this festival not only gives everyone a chance to enjoy live music and dance but to also help others in need. A portion of the proceeds will go to Community Youth Outreach, while downtown pubs, community halls, and park space will come alive with the sounds of incredible bluegrass, folk, rockabilly and of course some Southern Texas Country music.

What better way to spend a fun, family night together than enjoying a movie at the park? May Movies in the Park returns to Conroe at Heritage Place. A free screening of family movies will begin at dusk each Friday of the month. First up is Finding Dory on May 5th.

Another family favorite for the month is in Woodlands, with the continuation of the Concert in the Park Series at Northshore Park. Each Sunday in May family and friends can enjoy live music picnic style. This is a wonderful family evening with additional kid-friendly activities happening alongside the performances.

Beyond the Pints brings music lovers, beer aficionados and anyone looking for a relaxing good time outdoors together. This music fest features incredible craft brews alongside amazing food trucks all with the delightful sounds of live music. This beer and music fest is being held on May 13th at Town Green Park. All ages are welcome, there will be fun activities for the kids too.

Head over to Town Green Park on May 28th as well, to celebrate Memorial Day in the Woodlands. Our communities come together as we honor our fallen heroes with a great family festival. The evening will culminate with a firework display in tribute to the men and women of our armed forces who have given their lives protecting America.
